Friends

DogeGage Chat is username-based. There are no discriminators — just pick a unique username and people find you by it.

Adding friends

• Search: enter their @username or user ID in Friends > Add
• Share codes: a friend generates a 6-digit code, you redeem it, and you are instantly friends
• Nearby: opt in to discover people on the same local network

Requests

Incoming requests land in the Pending tab. Accept with the checkmark, decline with the X — the sender is not notified either way. If you each send the other a request, it auto-accepts.

Removing friends

Remove someone from the Friends page. You are each taken off the other list, you can no longer message each other, and they are not notified.

Blocking

Block from the chat header menu or the Blocked tab. Blocked users cannot message you, send requests, or see your status. They are not notified. Unblocking does not restore the friendship — one of you has to send a new request.

Reporting abuse

Take screenshots as evidence, submit a report at portal.dogegage.xyz, and block the user. We only ever check reported content — we never scan messages.
